Deep disco boogie doings god damn! After that, we continue with the most re-wind-able tune of the moment ‘What’s In Your Head’ from Disclosure, so good, like what would happen if Kylie started going out with Mad Mike Banks. And so we slow it down … do we fuck, next up Lone’s snorting deepest Detroit remix of Midland’s ‘Placement’ and some choiceness from king of synth-baselines ‘Sunclef’. Class EP out on his Bandcamp. After that we get on that good ole melancholy electronic Adtrax vibe with a track from the excellent free download ‘Sound Healers Vol. 2’ compilation by Romania’s finest Empt followed by a track from singer Kae’s ‘Quattro’ project (her singing over Flako instrumentals and making them sound four times as funky some how.)

Gigs of illness as far as the beats goes this time around. I literally had to whittle the selection down from about 2 hours of really exceptional music. Kicking off with the Tall Black Guy flip of James Brown ‘I Feel Good’ and then said TBG on the boards for an RnB outing with American songstress Teri Tobin

Second show on the trot for Seven Davis Jnr, shit is right out there – new EP called ‘Planet Superstar’ from which I’ve culled the ‘Funny Thangs’ track, RAW! Mixed down so it hurts your ear drums but very dirty and funky – on a D’angelo and Peven Everett vibe. Staying fathom’s deep, it’s the first of two tracks from Honks Burry’s Blameful Isles project – ultra deep Jazz meanderings with Art Blakey invoked through the drum pads and an inkling of Mark Mothersbaugh, ill!

Next up beautiful keys, beautiful voice and Boom Bap mathematics from Jazzo & Melodiesinfonie (great fkn name) feat Soia who has the most impeccable bluddy taste in who she sings for – check her previous two outings with producer MEZ on her Soundcloud, she is the next big thing for def.
Nice loops from Dotmatic follows and then murdered blues from the super talented producer Clonki and two bits of murky head nod from Ahwlee and literally everyone’s favourite Clams Casino. Hazel’s lost tapes collection finally got some sort of official release this month, he’s tagged a bonus track on for everyone who’s been bumping it for a wee while already n here it is.

Then we head to Germany for something from the beast known as Je$u$. He’s a ridiculous remixer and this is probably his finest re-wiggle to date I reckon – Metalface never sounded so good! A ton of brilliant new music on his bandcamp, including his awesome ‘Apostles’ project, ch chck. Could have put on the whole thing but that would have been just rude, so one more from Blameful Isles who has kindly knocked up the first Beatmonster Guest mix for WYWR, soon come, keep your ears peeled.
Could have kept going forever but begrudgingly drawing to a close with a flashback from perennial favourite Fat Jon (of Five Deez), truly beautiful and epic string workout this one, ouch. Last up Bilal Salaam’s gorgeous cover of Curtis Mayfield’s ‘ Makings Of You’ featuring Steve Smith, brave and brilliant.
